Polyurethane foam insulated steel pipe is a pipeline material made of a combination of high-performance polyether polyols and multiple methyl polyphenyl polyisocyanates as raw materials, which are foamed through chemical reactions. It has excellent characteristics such as light capacity, high strength, thermal insulation, sound insulation, flame retardancy, cold resistance, corrosion resistance, non water absorption, and easy and fast construction. It is widely used in thermal insulation, waterproofing, leakage prevention, and sealing engineering in industrial sectors such as construction, transportation, petroleum, chemical, power, and refrigeration.
Structural composition
Polyurethane foam insulated steel pipe mainly consists of the following parts:
● Working steel pipe: Seamless steel pipe or spiral welded steel pipe is usually used, with materials such as Q235B, Q345B, etc. The working steel pipe is the main part for transporting heat, directly bearing the pressure and temperature of the internal thermal medium (such as hot water or steam).
● Polyurethane insulation layer: This is the core insulation part of the pipeline, made of polyurethane material, with extremely low thermal conductivity (generally between 0.02-0.03W/(m · K)), which can effectively prevent heat transfer from the working steel pipe to the outside. Its foaming structure forms a large number of closed pores, further reducing the speed of heat conduction.
● Outer protective pipe: High density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe is usually used, which has excellent corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and flexibility, and can protect the insulation layer and working steel pipe from external environmental influences.
